What a salon’s website costs in the UK
Your services, your prices, your gallery and your reviews: Rowbo builds the salon a website for £30 a month, on your own .com. Hosting, the domain and updates are in that, and it comes off your Google listing. Booking apps bundle a listing instead, and a one off build is the other route. The table prices each, dated.
What you get for £30 a month
- A real multi-page website, built from the Google listing you already have.
- Your own .com, registered and pointed at it, in the price.
- Hosting and updates, so there is nothing else to renew and nothing to install.
- Your photos, your hours, your services and your reviews, already on the page.
- Any change you want, made by us: the words, the photos, the colours, a whole new page. Just tell us.
- A site Google can index and ChatGPT can read.
- We go through your Google listing and fix what is holding it back: the link to your site, the categories, the hours and the photos.
- Ready to look over within one working day, before you pay anything.
- No setup fee, no minimum term, and you can cancel any month.
- A price one extra customer a week covers, with nothing else to pay for.
- Our estimate: around 10 more customers a month. Based on typical monthly searches for a local business in a UK town and what a page-one result gets.
What a website costs

Some prices are listed in US dollars in our research, at the £1 to $1.27 rate. The DIY and agency prices are UK list prices, billed annually. Ours is £30 a month, billed monthly.
What the £30 covers after the build
With Rowbo the £30 covers hosting, the domain, updates and the changes you ask for. Nothing renews separately, and nothing arrives as a bill you were not expecting. Everywhere else those are extra, and after a one off build the change itself is billable too. Hosting and the domain renew each year, and website maintenance runs £25 to £100 a month. Monthly billing costs 16% to 28% more than annual at Wix, and Squarespace lists its UK prices without VAT. Prices checked 12 August 2026.
What changes the number
A single page is a smaller job than a site with a page for each service. Online booking, a gallery of your work, and prices you can keep current all add to a one off build. On a monthly plan the page count is rarely what you pay for. What you pay for is who does the work, and whether the domain and the hosting are in the price. With us they are, and the page count is not a line item.
Questions owners ask.
How much does a salon’s website cost in the UK?
With Rowbo it’s £30 a month, with the domain, hosting and updates in the price. A pay monthly agency starts at £19 a month, and a DIY builder runs up to £16 a month. A one off build is typically $500 to $5,000. Prices checked 12 August 2026.
Is a booking app not enough on its own?
A booking app gives you a booking page and a listing among the other salons, not a website with your own name on the address. Fresha is about $19.95 a month and Booksy from $29.99, both with commission on new marketplace clients. Prices checked 12 August 2026.
What are the ongoing costs of a website?
With Rowbo there are none beyond the £30 a month: hosting, the domain and updates are all in it. Elsewhere hosting and the domain renew each year, and maintenance runs £25 to £100 a month if you pay for it. Prices checked 12 August 2026.
